Beijing Shougang Electromechanical’s Qian’an Machinery Repair Branch Rated A-level Environmental Performance Enterprise

Recently, the Office of the Leading Group for Air Pollution Prevention and Control in Tangshan City, Hebei Province issued the Notice on Adjusting the Performance Levels of 21 Enterprises, which clarified that Beijing Shougang Electromechanical Co., Ltd.’s Qian’an Machinery Repair Branch had been rated as an A-level environmental performance enterprise, marking another milestone in the branch’s green and high-quality development path.

The Qian’an Machinery Repair Branch mainly serves Beijing Shougang Co., Ltd. and Jingtang. It is a professional service unit integrating the production, repair and on-site maintenance of equipment spare parts in the metallurgical industry. The environmental protection control point mainly involves the production of rubber rollers, surface coating, painting process, VOC gas emissions from roller group cleaning and emission of dust particles from welding production lines, individual welding operations, polishing, etc. Its production emission mechanism is complex and there are many emission sources, which have always been difficult pain points on the road to becoming an A-level environmental performance enterprise.

In order to ensure that the whole process and all production links of the branch meet the A-level environmental performance standards, and create green Qian’an machinery repair, Beijing Shougang Electromechanical Co., Ltd.’s Qian’an Machinery Repair Branch has organized and held special meetings many times, conducted in-depth discussions and comprehensively coordinated and promoted the promotion of various work. Through the “invite in and go out” approach, it targets industry benchmark and advanced enterprises, actively learns and draws upon the experience of the Shougang Group’s internal enterprises in creating A-level enterprises, makes up for shortcomings, strengths and weaknesses, and promotes improvement. The upgrading and renovation of the continuous casting roll repair production line and roll (cold roll) spare parts production line have been implemented successively, the roll (hot roll) repair production line has been equipped with centralized dust removal and treatment facilities, and the measures of closed workshops, closed barrel packaging, closed warehouses, mobile welding fume dust collectors, factory workshop hardening, regular sprinkling and dust reduction have been adopted. These measures have achieved the comprehensive control of source emission reduction, process management and end treatment, effectively promoting the improvement of the atmospheric environment quality in the factory area.
