After the National Conference on Eco-environmental Protection was held, Shougang carried out the spirit of the National Conference on Eco-environmental Protection by vigorously carrying out environmental control and comprehensively promoting the prevention and control of air, water and soil pollution. In 2018, the Shougang Group implemented a total of 107 environmental protection control projects, with a total investment of around 2.64 billion Yuan, resulting in a significant decrease in the emissions of key pollutants. Shougang has vigorously carried out environmental control and achieved good economic and social benefits. Shougang Co. Ltd. was awarded the only A-type steel enterprise in the performance evaluation of pollution emission from differentiated production in Tangshan City in the autumn and winter of 2018-2019. The Shougang Jingtang Company was awarded the title of the third batch of green plant by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the Shougang Cold Rolling Company has been awarded the title of the Beijing Green Factory, whilst BWI has also been awarded the Capital Environmental Protection Advanced Collective. These honorary titles have further enhanced Shougang's green development image!
