Release Time:2017-06-07 13:29:52
BWI has actively participating in the construction of “Belt and Road”. As a result, its new factory in Cheb (a city in west Czech) has been put into stable operation. In this April, this factory has successfully supplied the first batch of passive dampers under Volvo’s SPA project. With the successive launch of BMW and Opel projects, it is predicted that, the annual output of this factory will be 4 million pieces of dampers by 2010 and its sales volume would rise to about USD 60 million.
It is known that the total investment of this factory is about RMB 200 million, it covers an area of 15,000m2, and that its design capacity is 4 million pieces of dampers. Its major customers include high-end car manufacturers such as Ferrari, Cadillac, Audi, Volvo, Land Rover and GE. Being put into formal operation on October 19, 2016, this factory has made historic breakthroughs in workshop design, layout, equipment model selection, technological process and operation management system.
For the needs of its global strategic layout, BWI chooses to set up a factory in Cheb. By establishing new factories in different countries and regions, BWI, being a tier-one parts supplier, can better meet market and customer demands and further improve its market competitiveness. Cheb has a significant geographic advantage because it takes less than 1 hour to drive from this city to Germany where many of BWI’s major customers are based in. The city is about 1 hour’s drive from BWI’s technical center in Krakow, Poland, which could provide all-round and convenient support to this factory. In addition, the local government of Cheb has provided many favorable conditions to Chinese enterprises planing to set up facories in this city and Czech has abundant human resources, which could meet the quality requirements of this factory.
The capacity expansion in Europe is the first step taken by BWI to achieve its strategic goals of the “13th Five-Year Plan”. It has laid a solid foundation for BWI to expand European market and improve market competitiveness. Centering on the strategic goal of the “13th Five-Year Plan” and insisting on the integration of endogenous development and extensional development, BWI will improve its scale and competitiveness through professionalization, institutionalization, internationalization and informatization. It has been dedicated to growing into a world-class auto parts supplier with advanced technologies and core competitiveness.
