Pilot production of the Shougang Group’s Harbin automotive board processing and distribution center's laser welding machine unit has been successfully implemented 25 days ahead of schedule compared with the Chang’an Ford Harbin Factory, which fulfills the commitment in advance, enhances the processing supporting capacity of Shougang’s automobile plate and marks the improvement of Shougang’s automotive plate marketing services system.

Shougang Harbin processing and distribution center, the 11^th steel processing center in the national layout of Shougang, is the processing factory with the largest investment and most complete production process. It integrates automotive steel processing, warehousing, distribution and other functions, and covers all the processes of blanking, crosscutting, longitudinal cutting, pendulum cutting, laser welding and other vehicle processes, thus meeting the demands of cold-rolled and galvanized vehicle plate cutting required by the Changan Ford Harbin plant, with an annual output of 200,000 vehicles and supporting operations. The four high-precision vehicle plate shear processing production lines have been completed and put into production. The laser welding machine unit boasts the in-depth processing unit of Shougang’s automotive plate, which marks an end to commissioning the welding of automotive plates of Shougang, which is a milestone for Shougang’s automobile plate supply chain and also a new starting point for Shougang’s processing and distribution system.

The start-up of this laser welding machine unit will further enhance the automotive manufacturing service capabilities and level of Shougang. Shougang’s automotive plate will adhere to a product development model focusing on EVI, gradually build the EVI line diagram with the characteristics of Shougang, and achieve agile product development. In terms of the supply of services, the Shougang Group will adhere to the differentiated and professional service concept to provide longitudinal, crosscutting, blanking, pendulum, laser welding and other processing and distribution services through the continuous upgrading of its automotive processing and distribution services capability, thereby meeting the JIT service needs of its terminal customer.
